General practice & on-site diagnostics
We find the signal before we write the plan
Forty-minute consultations, imaging and bloods under one roof, and a written summary you leave with. No rushed door-handle diagnoses.
-
- Consulting hours
- Monday to Friday, 08:00–18:30. Saturday mornings until 13:00.
-
- Walk-in review
- Weekdays 08:00–09:30 for acute concerns, seen in order of clinical need.
-
- Referrals
- Not required. Bring a referral letter if you have one and we will work from it.
How care runs here
Four steps, and you know where you stand at each one
Every patient moves through the same pathway, whether the visit is a two-week cough or a long-standing condition that needs re-thinking.
-
Step 01
Triage call
A clinician calls you back to understand the concern, decide how urgently you should be seen, and tell you which tests to expect.
-
Step 02
Long consultation
Forty minutes with the clinician who will stay with your case. History first, examination second, and time to ask the awkward question.
-
Step 03
Diagnostics on site
Bloods, ECG, spirometry, ultrasound and skin imaging happen in the building, usually in the same appointment block.
-
Step 04
Written plan
You receive a plain-language summary: what we found, what it means, what happens next, and the date of your review.
Care lanes
Choose the lane that matches the reason you are booking
Each lane has its own appointment length and its own diagnostic set, so telling us the lane on your request saves a phone call.

The clinic week
What runs on which day
Diagnostic equipment and clinician cover rotate through the week. Booking on the right day usually means one visit instead of two.
| Day | Consulting | Diagnostics on site | Walk-in review |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monday | 08:00 – 18:30 | Bloods, ECG, spirometry | 08:00 – 09:30 |
| Tuesday | 08:00 – 18:30 | Bloods, ultrasound | 08:00 – 09:30 |
| Wednesday | 10:00 – 18:30 | Bloods, skin imaging, minor procedures | Not held — clinical meeting |
| Thursday | 08:00 – 18:30 | Bloods, ECG, ultrasound | 08:00 – 09:30 |
| Friday | 08:00 – 17:00 | Bloods, spirometry, vaccination clinic | 08:00 – 09:30 |
| Saturday | 08:30 – 13:00 | Bloods only | 08:30 – 10:00 |
Fasting bloods are taken before 10:00 on any weekday. The clinic is closed on Sundays and on public holidays; urgent concerns on those days should go to your local emergency service.
Before your visit
Five things that make the appointment worth more
None of these are compulsory. Each one removes a reason for us to ask you back a second time.
-
Bring the actual packets
A photograph of every medication, supplement and inhaler you take — including the ones you have stopped. Doses matter more than names.
-
Write down the timeline
When the symptom started, what makes it better or worse, and what has changed since. Three lines is enough and it is often the most useful thing in the room.
-
Come fasted for metabolic bloods
If your request mentions cholesterol or blood sugar, have water only for eight hours beforehand and book a morning slot.
-
Leave the make-up off for skin checks
Dermoscopic imaging needs bare skin. Skip moisturiser, foundation and nail polish if the area being checked includes your face or hands.
-
Say if you want someone with you
Tell us in your request and we will book a room that seats a companion, or arrange an interpreter for the appointment.
Questions
The things people ask before booking
If your question is not here, put it in the notes field of the request form and the triage clinician will answer it on the call.
Do I need a referral to be seen?
No. You can request any care lane directly. If another clinician has written you a referral letter, bring it or attach the details to your request so we start from what has already been ruled out.
How long is a first appointment?
Forty minutes for general practice, and up to sixty for a cardio-metabolic review. If diagnostics are taken in the same visit, allow an extra thirty minutes in the building.
When will I get my results?
Routine bloods are usually read within two working days and sent to you with the written plan. Imaging and skin histology take longer; the clinician will tell you the expected window before you leave.
Which tests need fasting?
Cholesterol, fasting glucose and some liver panels. Water only for eight hours beforehand, and book a slot before 10:00 on a weekday. Take your usual medication unless the triage clinician tells you otherwise.
Do you see children?
Yes, from six years upward in general practice and the respiratory lane, with a parent or guardian present. Vaccination clinics on Friday include routine childhood schedules.
Can I keep my own regular clinician?
Yes. Name them in the request and we will hold the appointment for their next available slot rather than the earliest slot in the diary. For acute concerns we will offer both options and let you choose.
Is the clinic accessible, and can you arrange an interpreter?
Consulting rooms, the procedure room and the diagnostic suite are all step-free with a hearing loop at reception. Interpreters are booked with three working days' notice — say which language in your request.
Request an appointment
Tell us the lane and we will call you back
This is a request, not a confirmed booking. A clinician reads it, calls you within one working day, and offers a slot that fits the tests you need.
- Response time
- One working day, Monday to Saturday.
- Urgent today
- Use weekday walk-in review, 08:00–09:30.
- Emergencies
- Contact your local emergency service rather than this form.
